What is the book “The Wonder of Believing” all about?

This story is written to give parents a tool to help their children realize the genuine message of Christmas. While the traditions of Christmas can smother the message that parents desire to emphasize, this story will guide their children as they realize the truth and follow their hearts as God draws them to Himself. The story takes place as a child named Brayla journeys through the confusion of the mixed messages that can accompany the Christmas celebration. The conclusion resolves the heartache, as some traditions may bring disappointment and mistrust from children due to confusion and varied messages. —many blessings to all who will enjoy this extraordinary book.

About the Author:

Greg Scherrer is the Pastor of Hi-Plains Baptist Church of Limon, Colorado, and has a background in music education.  He and his wife, DeAnn, came to know Christ as Savior in January of 1991 and understood that it was by God’s grace that salvation was granted.  This book is written in the hope that Christian families can use some of the secular traditions of Christmas as stepping-stones for sharing the truth of the gospel with their kids.   Some parents struggle with what to do with Santa Claus; many go along with the Santa Claus story, while others just put those traditions on the shelf of worldly evils as their children wonder what they stand for.

The “Wonder of Believing” will give parents a tool to begin using early in their children’s lives to share the gospel and to speak honestly about various Christmas traditions.  It is suggested that this book’s message be used to step squarely into the truth of our sin and God’s provision for that sin, the Lord Jesus Christ!
